About Charles Wheeler
Not too many people will disagree that Charles Wheeler is one of the most technically sound tennis coaches in South Africa.
Charles Wheeler is a purest when it comes to tennis technique and he encourages these values from all his staff and players. Charles was a top international player in his own right and as a junior was ranked no. 1 in South Africa in both the under 16 & under 18 age divisions. Charles competed in the U.S. Open and Wimbledon and he boasts victories over several of the games top players including Greg Rusedski, Kevin Ulleyt and Bupati Mahesh to name a few.
Together with the Team at CWTC, Charles has coached 16 South African National Champs and several of the CWTC players are currently ranked among the top 200 juniors in the world. Some of the ex-CWTC students have also gone on to achieve great heights on the ATP Tour including Kevin Anderson who is currently playing on the ATP Tour and has achieved a career high singles ranking of 96 on the ATP rankings.
Charles has also served as Junior Davis Cup coach for South Africa, All African Cup coach and Gauteng Provincial coach.
